Finished Color Charts

They are far from perfect, but I have finished my first round of paint charts which document all the tube paints I use and what they become when mixed with each other and lightened with white.  A very useful and meditative exercise.

Spring at Last!

First day of spring break and the boys got to go painting with me.  Not too much of a hardship, it was glorious at the beach, and they found plenty to do.

After some adjustments at home...I added a red wing blackbird that I saw today.

Yesterday's painting from Indianola beach again.  I must have just turned slightly from my spot the day before, because my paintings almost fit together like a jigsaw puzzle.  Not planned, but cool!

Yesterday's painting from Indianola beach.  I had to leave after an hour and a half, because the dog got too cold.  She needs to toughen up if she wants to be my painting companion.  She would probably rather stay home on the couch.

Rutland Tracks

This is a 6" VT landscape.  An exercise in simplifying a complex scene.  I found the little frame at an antique store here, $2 for 2 frames.
