Two Pitchers, Two Pears

My still life attempt yesterday.  Trying to be loose, but still fussing with the edges too much.

Persimmons & Coffee Pot

Robin Weiss is an incredible painter whom I have been lucky enough to get some lessons from recently.  I did this painting during one of those lessons after he did a demo of the same setup.  It was great fun to paint, and a revelation for me in paint handling methods.  Check out Robin's amazing work on his blog inpleinair@blogspot.com.

Missing spring.

Our yard rabbit.  It's not quite this green out there now, though.

Washington

We moved to the Kitsap Peninsula in the winter of  2011.  This small oil painting is of a house on the water in Indianola, one of the first outings I made with the kids after we arrived.  It was one of our many excursions that confirmed that I was really going to love living here, and I do.

I found a sheep farm/bed and breakfast on a drive one day in Beaver Valley, and not able to pass up sheep, I knocked on the door and asked if I could take some pictures.  Did a few little paintings from that day.
